Transport Details
Hua Hin Airport, about one hundred kilometres north, has limited domestic flights. Most travellers arrive through Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airports, around three hundred and twenty kilometres away, roughly four hours by car.
Trains on the southern line stop at Prachuap Khiri Khan station, connecting with Bangkok and Hua Hin. The journey from Bangkok takes around five to six hours. From the station, taxis or songthaews reach the resort.
Buses and minivans connect Prachuap with Bangkok and Hua Hin regularly. They arrive in town, from where a short taxi ride reaches Khlong Wan.
Renting a car offers the most flexibility for exploring the province. Phetkasem Road runs along the coast and is in good condition.
Scooters can be rented in Prachuap town. Riders should wear helmets and carry an international licence valid for motorcycles.
Songthaews and motorbike taxis provide local transport, though they are less frequent in rural areas.
Day trips to Hua Hin, Khao Sam Roi Yot and Ban Krut are easy by car.
